Natural Billabong Works Seamlessly

For this ambitious outdoor design project, Eckersley Garden Architecture designed a natural swimming pool which is free of cleansing chemicals such as chlorine and sodium.

The pool utilizes a filtration system that uses the help of aquatic plants planted in a medium called Zeolite. The water is soft and velvet-like and features the same qualities as a natural billabong.

For the paving and pool coping, Eckersley Garden Architecture has used Myrtle split stone which complements the natural, rugged bush surrounds and flows seamlessly from external to internal areas, creating a sense of continuity between both. The retaining walls are clad in Badger dry stone walling which blends beautifully with the Myrtle paving, natural pool and surrounding plants.
