Sea Breeze and Ocean Views

Enviably located on the coast, this two-story, beach-side home was designed with living areas on the first floor to take advantage of spectacular ocean views and gentle sea breezes.

To achieve privacy for the spaces while providing flexibility to capture vistas and breezes, an aluminum louvre system was incorporated to the first-floor balcony and living room. A central staircase with a void was positioned within the residence to permit natural light and ventilation to permeate the ground floor.

The client desired a low-maintenance building exterior which was achieved with painted FC cladding and stone work around the main entry. Working with Basalt concrete pavers in the driveway, and La Roche limestone around the pool area and balconies, another dimension of texture is added to the home. The Clancy random ashlar wall surrounding the pool also provides textural softness to the contemporary modern lines of the build.
